Support Services Bureau

The Support Services Bureau is primarily responsible for providing support and coordination for all departmental divisions and units.  This includes development and management of the Department's operating budget, establishing and implementing Department rules, regulations and policies, maintaining all property and evidence seized during police investigations, organizing and scheduling all Department training events, maintaining all Department records and documents, managing all Department communications systems through the Central Communications Division, and the establishment of Department goals and objectives to provide the most cost effective delivery of police services. The Commanding Officer of this Division is Deputy Chief John Cappiello. The Division is comprised of the Central Communications Division, Training Division, Ethics and Integrity Unit, Extra Duty/Permits, Records Division, Property/Evidence DivisionCommunity Liaison Unit, and Budget/Grant Coordination
