Newhall Substation

Hamden, Ct. 06517

The Newhall Substation opened in March of 2008. It provides a
permanent police presence in the Newhall neighborhood and acts as a
"drop in" and "resource center" location for our Police Officers and community
stakeholders.  Community activity events, Civic Association and Block Watch
meetings are just some of the  uses for the substation where crime prevention
and other law enforcement topics can be discussed.  Officers on all shifts utilize
the substation for investigative interviews, to meet citizens on complaints who
live in the neighborhood, to complete follow-up reports and paperwork and
for meal breaks. The Department Bicycle Unit uses the substation as a
deployment point
during appropriate weather conditions for bicycle patrol
in the Newhall and surrounding neighborhoods. Community Liaison Unit
Officer Ronald Glifort is assigned to the substation on Monday and Friday
between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and on Wednesday between
the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
