Purchasing Department
The department provides a range of services to both the Town and the Board of education to assure efficient functioning and compliance with established procurement procedures. Responsibilities include: daily handling of all municipal mail and correspondence using National Security procedures; all procurement, through procedures mandated by Charter, including equipment and vehicles, maintenance of all equipment, and disposal of obsolete and surplus equipment. The office works closely with the Town Attorney in the preparation of all contracts for goods and services. Under the leadership of the Purchasing Agent, the office has a staff of two. This department handles all Town and Board of Education bids for services and supplies. |
