**Public Act 3-02, LCO 4709 and SB6841 which allowed this increase from March 15, 2003 to June 30, 2008, also gives 18 towns the option of increasing their municipal real estate conveyance tax by an additional quarter point to 0.005%. The Town of Hamden is one of the 18 Target Investment Communities.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (Sec. 1-212):
If copying fee is not specified above, fee for copy of document (minutes, legal notices, etc.) shall not exceed .50 per page. Fee for cost of transcription or printout shall not exceed actual cost thereof. Fee for certifying such document shall be $1.00 for the first page and .50 for each subsequent page.

**Any owner or keeper of a kennel who breeds more than two litters must apply for a kennel license. (Check Town of Hamden Zoning Regulations for licensing requirements of a kennel.)

The town clerk shall retain $1.00 for each license issued, and $2.00 for each kennel license issued.

Applications for resident and non-resident firearms deer hunting, muzzleloader deer hunting, archery deer and small game hunting, turkey firearms or archery hunting are available from the Town Clerk. The applications must be sent to the DEP, 79 Elm St., Hartford, CT 06106 with the appropriate fee:

All licenses expire on December 31 of the year issued, except permanent licenses issued to those 65 years of age or over, and pheasant tags and migratory bird stamps which are valid through early the following year.
The town clerk retains $1.00 for each license sold and for each HIP permit, and .50 for each pheasant stamp and migratory bird stamp sold.

*Any active, full-time member of the armed forces may be issued a fishing and/or small game firearms license for the resident fee. Credentials indicating active full-time membership or separation subsequent to the issuance of the license and prior to its expiration date must be carried while fishing or hunting.
** Issuance of a free license to the blind or mentally retarded requires proof of disability in the form of a certificate provided by any person licensed to practice medicine in this state.
*** Any resident with the loss of a limb or the loss of the use of a limb and a doctor's certificate may be issued a free license. Qualified nonresidents who are residents of states which allow the same privileges are also eligible.
