In Children's Programs: Our Saturday Afternoon Family Entertainment Series. This series offers high quality, affordable cultural entertainment for parents and young children to share. The presentations include plays and puppets, mime and magic, music and literature. Each year the series includes six Saturday events, all held in Thornton Wilder Hall in the Miller Complex. Usually several hundred people people attend on any given Saturday. The large majority of our patrons come from Hamden, although some visit from around the state. Still to come in 2009: Feb. 28, 1 pm: Yo-Yo Show featuring the World Champion Yo-yo performer. March 21, 1 pm: "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" with Tuckers Tales Puppet Theatre.
