Mayor Henrici joined owner Michael McEntee for a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the anniversary. The new Irish bakery offers a large variety of specially made wedding, birthday or occasional cakes, traditional Irish breads that are baked fresh daily, mousses, pastries, cookies, cupcakes, breakfast foods, rolls, imports such as candies, teas, jams, sausages and beans and much more.
Mayor Henrici and Michael McEntee Celebrate the Grand opening The McEntee’s own a larger Emerald Bakery in Milford, CT where all of the baking and preparation of the food takes place, and then the products are brought to Hamden. Michael McEntee along with his wife Mary McEntee decided to open Emerald Bakery in Hamden with the hope of connecting the community to their Irish culture. Serving New Haven, Milford, Fairfield, Hamden and adjoining towns for the past seven years has kept the McEntees quite busy, as their hard work and baking experience has become a way of producing quality goods for communities throughout Connecticut. Emerald Bakery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am-6:00pm and Sunday from 7:00am-2:00pm. The phone number is (203)-230-0461 and they can be reached on the internet at www.emerald-bakery.com.
