Hamden, CT: Tripeg Studios announces the opening of their state-of-the-art production facility on October 22, 2004. This was a special engagement for media and city officials to tour New England’s largest independently-owned movie studio! These facilities encompass three sound stages, special visual effects shop, post-production suites, set construction, makeup/dressing rooms, cafeteria and much more.
Mayor Carl J. Amento and several town officials attended the grand opening. The 16,000 square foot production house is located at 2155 State Street, in Hamden, CT. It will offer everything that a major studio can provide, except for the high priced rental fees!
Realizing the lack of production facilities between New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, three local entrepreneurs teamed up to create TRIPEG STUDIOS...Phil Gauvin (Pyro-FX Group), Ed Fortin (Fortin Electric Company) and George DeMartin (Continental Contracting, Inc.). Their vision and hard work has lead to the creation of a cutting-edge facility complete with a multi-talented team of scriptwriters, producers, graphic designers, editors, music composers and directors. Unique to the studio is its pyrotechnic and special effects capabilities, including an on-site Connecticut-licensed pyrotechnician.
Tripeg services a wide variety of production needs including: Corporate, Educational and Training Videos, Feature and Short Films, Commercials, Music Videos, Infomercials, Special Event and Trade Show Presentations, Rehearsal/Rental Space and much more. Currently, Synthetic Cinema International is utilizing the post-production facilities to edit their feature length horror film, Hells Beacon, which was shot in Old Saybrook and Ansonia, Connecticut!
