“Local Brother’s Open Environmentally Friendly Dry Cleaners”

Dry Cleaning Station, Inc., which opened its first franchise location in 1993, has approximately 50 dry cleaning stores presently open and operating in fifteen states around the country. The company has plans and commitments for approximately 200 additional stores.

The Dry Cleaning Station is equipped with the most modern and efficient equipment available in the industry today. Our plant uses an environmentally safe & friendly solvent that when combined with our brand new state of the art equipment, produces an excellent product while serving the environment well. Conversely, 80% to 85% of all other dry cleaners use a chemical called Perchloroethylene (PERC), a know carcinogen and ground contaminant. The Dry Cleaning Station DOES NOT use PERC which means there is no odor imparted to the clothing, the clothes feels softer, and colors do not fade. One of the major benefits of investing in this new advanced state-of-the-art machinery is better quality and service while protecting the environment, our workers, our families and our customer’s clothes.

About the Owners:

Louis and Scott Modell were born in New Haven and both graduated from Hamden High School in the late 1980’s. They have a strong commitment to the Hamden community. Louis has been involved in the business community for the last 10 years and runs the day to day operations of the drop locations. The Modell brothers will be engaged in managing the overall operation itself, managing the individual drop store supervisors, and managing the relationship and development of other storeowners.
