Become a Volunteer
There is no greater way to shape the future than by investing your time and talents into the community.
Hamden Youth Services Bureau provides a Volunteer and Community Service program that places students and community members who wish to volunteer in the Hamden community. In order to do this, we are looking for assistance from all:
- Clubs
- Colleges
- Individuals
- Organizations
- Public Schools- Ages 12 Years and Older
- Universities
Some of our volunteers are from:
- The Children's Center of Hamden
- The Community
- Hamden Middle and High School
- Quinnipiac University
- Southern Connecticut State University
- Yale University
- Albertus Magnus
How to Volunteer
If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering that is caring, responsible, reliable, and wants to help the Hamden Community, please have them submit their applications via email. If you have any questions, please contact 203-777-2610, ext. 1120
After receiving your application, HYSB will set up an appointment/interview with you (and a parent/guardian if under 18) to discuss potential placements according to your interests, talents, and available time, as well as what volunteer opportunities are available in the Hamden community.
We are also looking for local businesses/organizations who would be interested in utilizing this service. If you are willing to work with us and offer your facility as a future site where we can place our individuals please do not hesitate to contact me.
