Community Development Advisory Commission
This commission's responsibility is to make recommendations to and advise the Economic and Community Development Department with regard to the operation and funding of the Community Development Block Grant program. The commission acts as an advisory board over the federal monies the town receives from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) office. Hamden receives an annual budget from HUD in order to conduct programs for low-moderate income families, and the commission oversees all of those activities.
Community Development Advisory Commission meetings occur at 6:30PM on the second Wednesday of each month. *Meetings may be held virtually on Zoom. Check agenda for more information.
Town Charter Rules Regarding Boards & Commissions:
This commission consists of 9 members. No more than 5 members may be from the same political party.
