Coffee Hour - A Conversation with Digital Navigators
Coffee Hour brings people together to enjoy refreshments, connect socially, and engage in special conversations. Coffee Hour serves as a gathering point for conversations that may be with a local author, feature information about special topics of interest, or teach a new skill. And, yes, coffee and snacks are served!
Our next Coffee Hour features a conversation with the library’s Digital Navigator, Robert Gagne and Janelle Rosales.
Music & Movement for Children
Join us in Miller Memorial Library’s Children’s area at 10:30 AM, Saturday February 24 for Music & Movement. We will sing classic children’s songs. Along with the songs, we will do lots of hand motions and dance steps. Everyone will move to the music! There will be moments to join in with percussion and a chance for friends to sing into a microphone themselves. The music is meant for children two to six years old, though caretakers are welcome to bring anyone who may enjoy the event.
Registration is not required. If you have questions, please call 203-230-3770 or email email@example.com.
Saturday Afternoon at the Movies- The Holdovers
The Christmas spirit shines through in the touching, heartfelt movie “The Holdovers.” As Barton Academy begins it's holiday break, a few people, including the cranky teacher Paul Hunham (Paul Giamatti), the angsty outcast teen Angus Tully (Dominic Sessa) and the in–mourning lunch lady Mary Lamb (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) are stuck on campus because of undesired circumstances. Directed by Alexander Payne, the film tells a tale of three lonely individuals coming unexpectedly together during the holidays. The companionship that the audience is able to see bloom can best be described by one word — kind.

Teen Reads Semi-Silent Book Club: An African American Read-In Event
In celebration of Black History Month, February's Teen Reads Semi-Silent Book Club will be an African American Read-In Event. What does this mean? That we will center African-American authors through conversation, book recommendations, and more.
Teen Reads is not your traditional book club.
Join us for the Teen Reads Semi-Silent Book Club. This book club has no assigned reading and no forced conversation. Bring what you are currently reading, or get ideas for your next read. Once you arrive, you choose how you want to experience the book club. You can:
Grab a snack, say hello, and find a quiet spot to settle in and read a book.
Sit with the group to talk about books you love, books you hate, and more.
Split your time and do both!
The only requirements are: checking in with Teen Librarian Jenny Nicolelli, eating a snack, and spending an hour talking about or reading books.
Teen Reads Semi-Silent Book Club is for teens in 7th-12th grade, or their homeschool equivalent. Registration is encouraged. If you have any questions, please call 203-230-3770 or email Jenny Nicolelli, Teen Librarian, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
