HAMDEN – The Town of Hamden Office of Community Development will be accepting applications from non-profit organizations for grant funding for program year 2021-2022. The Office of Community Development administers the Town’s federally funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) under the Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Grants will be available to non-profits that provide new services to low-income Hamden residents or for existing services that would quantifiably increase with these additional funds. Applications are available now at www.hamden.com/communitydevelopment. Applications are due on March 5, 2021. Viable applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with the Community Development Citizens Advisory Commission.
Awardees will receive funds for 2021-2022 after July 1, 2021 to be used from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. Please note HUD funding usually becomes available in the fall.
