2021 Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony

May 31st, 2021

HAMDEN – Mayor Curt Balzano Leng and Hamden Veterans Commission Chairman, Abner Oakes, are pleased to announce a special Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony on May 31st, 2021 at the Hamden Veterans Memorial Monument. Although there will be no Memorial Day Parade this year in Hamden due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Veterans Commission is inviting residents to this special ceremony. Social distancing and event capacity protocols will be in place and attendees are required to wear face-masks and coverings and maintain respective distances of 6ft between other persons. 

The ceremony will feature remarks from the Veterans Commission, Mayor Leng, and other guests, and will begin at 11:00am at Veterans Memorial Monument, located at 2623 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, CT 06518. Please join us as we remember and honor all those who sacrificed so we could exercise and enjoy the many freedoms we have.
