Hamden’s Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration:
Friday, January 13^th, 2023

Hamden – Mayor Lauren Garrett is pleased to announce that the Town of Hamden will hold its annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration on Friday, January 13^th, 2023 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Thornton Wilder Hall, located at the Miller Library Complex, 2901 Dixwell Avenue. This event offers attendees the opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s life, his mission, how he has affected our lives, and what we continue to learn from his service and wisdom. Members of the public are invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.

Mayor Garrett, along with the Hamden Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration Committee, will welcome guests to this celebration. The Keynote Speaker will be Tracy Bowens. The Moderator for the event will be Salvatore McClain, Program Assistant for Hamden’s Arts, Culture, Recreation, & Wellness Department.
